"Growth Within"

And because,
I slowly turned my insecurities into confidence,
My helplessness into fuel
a fuel that still kept me going
And because,
I learnt to turn my pain into power
I grew up.

After all growth comes in stages,
from a scared little girl
to a helpless one
to an angry young girl
to a vindictive fire
and then to finally realize
the fear that held me back
the silence that shattered me
came from within
and had to be conquered from within.
and only then,
did i learn that the real power was growth
growth that came from freedom
A freedom from within.
